As many car enthusiasts may already know, new models of cars dated as the upcoming year make their debut before the current year is halfway over. Audi is no exception to this common phenomenon as their new 2013 Audi RS 5 model is set to be released in the United States sometime this summer. The updated version of the Audi RS 5 coupe will first be sold in the U.K. starting at around $92,700. As a reference point, the current 2012 Audi S5 coupe starts at $53,900 in the U.S. However, as of right now, the U.S. sticker price for this new Audi model has not been released.
The 2013 Audi RS 5's new exterior design has subtle changes that feature smaller headlight housing, new daytime running lights, and a lower front fascia. The car features a four-wheel drive, and has a 0-62 time of 4.5 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the previous model.
Although all this may excite Audi fans, just like the previous Audi RS 5, this new model may not be released for U.S. consumption. There are no finalizing words of whether the RS 5 will be sold in America, but if it is, it is projected to arrive onto American soil sometime during this summer. From looking at the newly released pictures of the model, we can be sure that any Audi S5 enthusiast would be eager to satisfy their need for speed in this powerful machine.
